When you pay for a HostBuddy service using a credit/debit card or PayPal, a recurring payment is automatically set up for the next billing cycle. This ensures your hosting plan or domain name is renewed on time, so you never have to worry about downtime.
If you use a card, the details of your subscription will be included in the payment confirmation email. PayPal users will receive a separate notification from PayPal confirming the subscription.
Recurring payments are processed seven days before your renewal date, giving you a buffer period to resolve any issues, such as insufficient funds in your PayPal account. If a payment fails, you’ll be notified immediately and will have a full week to take action before your service is affected.
Managing Your Subscriptions
HostBuddy gives you full control over your subscriptions. You can view, cancel, or update your recurring payments at any time through your Control Panel:
- Hover over your name in the top right corner of your account.
- Select the Recurring option.
For PayPal subscriptions, you can also cancel directly through your PayPal account.
If you wish to keep your subscription active but change your funding source, simply click the Change button in the same section. A small pop-up will appear allowing you to select PayPal, FirstData (for all credit/debit cards), or WorldPay (for American Express cards) as your payment method.
After selecting your preferred payment method, you’ll be forwarded to the payment page to submit a $0.00 authorization payment. This authorization ensures your plan or domain will be automatically renewed when it’s due.
